We are Team Joe, dedicated to the
mission of facilitating Joe’s complete and speedy recovery through
fundraising and awareness efforts.
Team Joe is excited to kick
off its fundraising campaign on behalf of our dear friend
Joe Daniels. Joe suffered a traumatic brain injury this past
August which resulted in partial paralysis and speech
deficits. Despite numerous challenges, Joe has directed his
trademark discipline and energy towards achieving a full
recovery.
To maintain his impressive momentum and
gain access to the nation’s most cutting-edge, progressive aphasia
(speech impairment) therapy will require tens of thousands
of
dollars in expenses not covered by insurance. The best opportunities
for Joe are out of state, which adds additional costs to his burden.
As a strong advocate for community, Joe has lent his time, money and
sponsorship to countless causes, including mentoring local youth,
fundraising for Leukemia by biking across the nation, the Children’s
Alliance Theatre, Oak Grove Youth Group, Project Playhouse and the
Athens YMCA to name just a few. We are raising funds as a way to
honor and give back all that Joe has given over his 44 years. Please
